TechFlow news, on December 6, according to The Block, Tom Duff Gordon, Vice President of International Policy at Coinbase, said that President-elect Donald Trump's term could prompt other countries to either reform their cryptocurrency regulatory frameworks or strengthen existing regimes. Speaking at the Emerging conference in Prague on Thursday, Gordon emphasized the potential ripple effects on global cryptocurrency regulation.
Marina Markezic, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the non-profit European Crypto Initiative, commented on these remarks: "It's good that the EU is starting to realize this as well." Caner Sevinc, Senior Corporate Counsel at Gemini, added that while the U.S. and Europe have taken different regulatory approaches toward digital assets, their regulatory actions "also provide similar reassurance to other jurisdictions to continue supporting cryptocurrencies."
