TechFlow news, December 3 — CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju posted on X: "This current altcoin season will be different than expected. It will be peculiar and challenging, with only a few projects winning the race. Market sentiment is positive, but there isn't much new liquidity. Bitcoin is decoupling from the broader crypto ecosystem. Bitcoin has built its own paper-based Layer 2 ecosystem through ETFs, MSTR, and funds. Bridging into other altcoins from this ecosystem is impossible.
Altcoins used to move in correlation with BTC, but that pattern has now broken. Only a few altcoins are beginning to show independent trends as they attract new liquidity. Altcoins now have two options: either create paper-wrapped versions similar to Bitcoin, or build genuine internet money ecosystems using stablecoins or BTC. Altcoin investors should identify cryptocurrencies capable of achieving one of these two paths and hold them long-term."
