TechFlow news — On December 3, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on X: "We’ve informed all law firms working with us that if they hire anyone who committed wrongdoings against the crypto industry during the (soon-to-be) former administration, we will no longer be their client.
In my view, attempting to illegally suffocate an industry while refusing to publish clear rules is unethical. If you were a senior official involved, you can't claim you were just following orders. They could have chosen to leave the SEC—many well-intentioned people did. This wasn't a normal SEC tenure.
They should be allowed to work elsewhere (I don’t believe in permanently blacklisting individuals), but as an industry, we shouldn’t reward those who harmed us by putting money into their pockets. Make sure your law firms know that hiring such people means losing you as a client."
