TechFlow news, on December 2, according to the Financial Times, OpenAI is discussing plans to introduce advertising into its artificial intelligence products as the ChatGPT developer seeks new revenue streams. OpenAI Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar told the Financial Times that the $150 billion-valued AI startup is considering an advertising model, adding that they plan to "be thoughtful about where and when to implement ads."
The company reportedly raised $6.6 billion in new funding in October and, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter and the Financial Times' analysis of LinkedIn profiles, OpenAI is recruiting advertising talent from major tech companies such as Meta and Google.
