Ying Yong, Party Secretary and Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, emphasized the need to jointly strengthen efforts against money laundering crimes, accurately grasp the provisions in the revised Anti-Money Laundering Law regarding the expanded scope of predicate offenses for money laundering, fully implement both the Anti-Money Laundering Law and criminal law provisions such as the crime of "money laundering," properly apply the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate's "Interpretation on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Law in Handling Criminal Cases of Money Laundering," deepen the three-year campaign against money laundering crimes, lawfully punish money laundering and related crimes, enhance capabilities in combating money laundering crimes committed through new technologies, products, and businesses such as virtual currencies, and build stronger synergies in enforcement.
