TechFlow news, on November 26, according to Cointelegraph, the Ethereum Layer 2 network Base hit a record high of 106.26 transactions per second (TPS), an increase of nearly 28% from November 23. The network's total value locked (TVL) has surpassed $10 billion, reaching $10.68 billion, making it the second-largest Ethereum Layer 2 network after Arbitrum One ($18.3 billion).
Base founder Jesse Pollak said the network's average TPS was only 4 in January this year. The total TVL across all Ethereum Layer 2 solutions has now reached $49.3 billion. Base implemented a fault proof mechanism at the end of October this year, a key component of its gradual decentralization plan.
