TechFlow news, on November 22, according to TechCrunch, Amazon announced an additional $4 billion investment in Anthropic, bringing its total investment in the company to $8 billion, while maintaining a minority stake. Under the agreement, Anthropic will adopt AWS as its primary AI model training platform.
Anthropic will collaborate with AWS's chip manufacturing division, Annapurna Labs, to develop the next generation of Trainium accelerators. Currently, "tens of thousands" of enterprises are already using Claude series models through the Amazon Bedrock platform. Reports indicate that Amazon plans to replace Alexa's existing internal models with Anthropic's models.
