TechFlow news, on November 22, Fox News journalist Eleanor Terrett posted on X platform stating that the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) has added a new section about cryptocurrencies on its website.
Although the term "crypto asset security" is not mentioned—except for a link in the "Learn More" section to the SEC's 2023 investor alert—FINRA still指出 that crypto assets themselves, beyond just trading, can be considered securities.
The section provides an in-depth overview of various types of crypto assets, how they are bought and sold, and the potential risks involved. It also includes links to other crypto-related resources on its own website as well as those from other regulatory agencies such as the SEC, CFTC, and FTC.
