TechFlow News — On November 22, Sui announced on X that "the Sui mainnet experienced an outage between 1:15 AM and 3:45 AM Pacific Time on November 21, 2024. All validators entered a crash loop, rendering the network unable to process transactions. This marked Sui's first network failure, caused by a bug in the congestion control code. The issue originated from a recent upgrade to the congestion control system, aimed at improving shared object utilization. Contributors quickly deployed a fix, restoring normal network operations within 2.5 hours."
