TechFlow news: The open-world game XAR officially launched its Starknet mainnet beta version today at 11:00. The game is now open to everyone, offering both iOS and Android versions available for download at the official website x.ar.
XAR is the first Augmented Reality Autonomous World (AR Autonomous World). Unlike traditional AR games that primarily rely on GPS-based mechanics, XAR requires players to keep their cameras active throughout gameplay. All interactions seamlessly blend the physical environment with digital objects. Players can earn Voxels by shooting AR objects, planting AR plants, and other activities. In the future, Voxels can be used to build in-game items, customize game instances, trade assets, and even exchange instance logic—forming a fully expandable on-chain economy.
Previously, XAR released a Persona NFT that rose to the top of the Starknet NFT trading volume rankings. Holders of the Persona NFT will enjoy a 20x Voxel drop rate.
In the future, XAR plans to launch a Visual Positioning System (VPS), enabling AR objects to be permanently anchored in specific physical locations. By merging real-world environments with AR content, players will collaboratively build an expansive, physically grounded AR world.
