TechFlow news — On November 15, according to The Information, prominent venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) announced the appointment of Matt Perault, former Facebook policy director, as head of its AI policy office in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining a16z, Perault served as director of the Center for Technology Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Perault will lead the firm’s bipartisan policy initiatives in areas such as open-source models and AI startups.
