TechFlow news, November 11 — According to CoinDesk, ENS Labs, the company behind the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), announced plans to launch its own Layer 2 blockchain network called Namechain, expected to go live around the end of 2025.
Katherine Wu, COO of ENS Labs, revealed that Namechain will utilize zero-knowledge rollup technology—a scaling solution that accelerates blockchain transactions and reduces execution costs by compressing the volume of data posted on-chain. Wu explained that this technology enables Namechain to process and execute transactions off the Ethereum mainnet while maintaining Ethereum's full security, at only a fraction of the original cost.
