TechFlow news — On November 7, the Ethereum Foundation announced: "Following a scope assessment of the Pectra fork, one successful interoperability event, and four development networks, we are now launching the first short-term Pectra testnet, Mekong. The Mekong testnet includes all EIP proposals planned for the upcoming Ethereum Pectra fork. These changes include user experience (UX) improvements via EIP-7702, validator staking changes via EIP-7251, and updates to deposit and withdrawal mechanisms via EIP-6110 and EIP-7002."
"Mekong serves as a testing ground for wallet developers to experiment with UX enhancements and for stakers to familiarize themselves with the upcoming changes. This testnet is short-lived and fully implements all features currently planned for Pectra. While we may see minor specification adjustments or smaller EIPs, the functionalities included here will be integrated into existing public testnets and eventually into the Ethereum mainnet."
