TechFlow news, November 7 — According to Fox Business, the U.S. cryptocurrency industry scored a major victory in the recent elections, with over 250 pro-crypto congressional candidates winning seats.
The crypto industry spent at least $238 million in this election cycle to influence key House and Senate races. This substantial investment primarily supported pro-cryptocurrency candidates, including Republican businessman Bernie Moreno, who defeated incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in Ohio—the first time in nearly 18 years that a Republican has won a Senate seat in the state.
At the time of publication, Republican businessman and Bitcoin supporter Dave McCormick is narrowly leading in Pennsylvania’s tight Senate race against Democratic incumbent Bob Casey, though the final outcome has not yet been called.
