TechFlow news, on November 6, according to The Block, prediction market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket rose to first and fourth place respectively in the finance category of the Apple App Store following the U.S. election day on November 5. According to data from app analytics platform SensorTower, Kalshi ranked third among all free apps.
Kalshi is currently the only legally operating election prediction platform in the United States, with its market size for predicting the outcome between Trump and Harris reaching $247 million. The Polymarket platform, built on Ethereum, has seen $3.26 billion in trading volume for its 2024 U.S. presidential election prediction market, making it the platform's largest market. Since its launch in 2020, Polymarket has accumulated a total trading volume of $5.15 billion.
