TechFlow News, November 5 — According to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin mining giants Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms announced their highest monthly Bitcoin production since the April halving event. Marathon Digital produced 717 bitcoins in October, worth $48.8 million.
Marathon CEO Fred Thiel attributed the increase to a rise in energized hash rate by over 14%, exceeding 40 exahashes per second (EH/s).
In addition, higher transaction fees in October contributed to Marathon’s overall Bitcoin output, accounting for approximately 5% of total production. Meanwhile, Riot mined 505 bitcoins in October, valued at $34.4 million, representing a 22.6% month-over-month increase. Riot credited the growth to its hash rate rising from 28.2 EH/s in September to 29.4 EH/s due to the deployment of new MicroBT miners at its Corsicana facility.
