TechFlow news, on November 5, according to the New York Post, Elon Musk's AI startup xAI is in talks with Nvidia over a major investment aimed at accelerating the development of its large language model, Grok.
The Wall Street Journal reported that xAI is discussing raising several billion dollars from investors at a valuation of around $40 billion. According to The Information, xAI has discussed raising $5 billion at a valuation of approximately $45 billion.
Potential investors may include Valor Equity Partners, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Vy Capital, among others.
Previously, xAI completed a $6 billion Series B funding round six months ago, achieving a post-money valuation of $24 billion. Nvidia currently declined to comment on the rumored investment.
