TechFlow reported on November 1 that, according to Bitcoin.com News, green Bitcoin mining company Sazmining has launched an innovative heating project in a fishing town in Norway, using heat generated from Bitcoin mining to replace traditional oil-based heating systems. The company currently operates in Wisconsin and Paraguay.
The project will use hydropower to run Bitcoin miners and recover the thermal energy produced during mining for building heating, achieving nearly 100% carbon-free operations. Although Sazmining has not disclosed the exact location of the project, this innovative application further demonstrates the practical value of Bitcoin mining in non-traditional heating applications.
