TechFlow news — On October 31, according to CoinDesk, Coinbase announced it will add $25 million in funding to the cryptocurrency super PAC Fairshake in 2025 for the 2026 midterm elections. This commitment brings Coinbase's total contribution to Fairshake close to $100 million, making it the organization’s largest financial backer.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated on social media: "Crypto voters have become a force that cannot be ignored, and will continue to grow." He predicted that the next Congress will be the "most pro-crypto Congress yet."
Notably, Fairshake has raised over $200 million in this election cycle and has actively engaged in political efforts, including opposing candidates with anti-crypto stances. For example, it campaigned against Katie Porter, a crypto supporter and California Senate candidate, who ultimately lost in the primary election.
