TechFlow News, October 30 — According to CoinDesk, privacy-focused secure computing network Nillion has raised $25 million in a new funding round led by Hack VC, with participation from Distributed Global, Hashkey, and angel investors including prominent figures such as Ansem, Arthur Hayes, Meltem Demirors, as well as leaders from projects like Worldcoin, Injective, and Sei.
Previously reported, Nillion has now completed three rounds of fundraising: a VC round, an angel round, and a community round via the CoinList platform, bringing its total funding to over $50 million.
Reportedly founded by Conrad Whelan, former founding engineer at Uber, Nillion is the first decentralized "blind computing" network dedicated to enabling storage, transmission, and processing of high-value sensitive data while fully encrypted. Through its innovative orchestration layer, Nada language compiler, and dual-layer network architecture, Nillion allows developers to easily build privacy-preserving applications without needing expertise in privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), all while maintaining decentralization. This empowers the growth of a privacy application ecosystem, providing strong support for use cases in AI, data markets, private DeFi, healthcare analytics, and beyond.
To date, over 40 applications are under development within the Nillion ecosystem. The project has also announced partnerships with major blockchain platforms including NEAR, Aptos, Arbitrum, Mantle, IO.net, and Ritual, further expanding the adoption of Nillion’s secure storage and privacy computing services across diverse applications and advancing data privacy protection and value realization.
