TechFlow news, on October 30, according to an announcement on the official X platform, Starknet has set a new transaction speed record among Ethereum Layer-2 networks, achieving a peak transaction rate (TPS) of 127.5 over 24 hours, with a maximum spike reaching 857 TPS—far surpassing the previous record of 79.92 TPS set by Coinbase's Layer 2 network Base. This test was jointly conducted by StarkWare, gaming company Cartridge, and the Starknet Foundation, simulating a large-scale user scenario. The test game, "flippyflop," involved players competing against bots to flip tiles on a grid, generating a high volume of frequent, simple transactions, thereby validating Starknet’s scalability and TPS limits.
