TechFlow reports, on October 29, according to Decrypt, cross-chain NFT trading platform Magic Eden announced the launch of its test token TestME on October 30, a technical trial ahead of the official rollout of its governance token ME. Users must claim the test tokens within a two-day window via the Magic Eden wallet, though users from the UK and US are excluded. Only those who have interacted with the platform in the past six months are eligible to participate.
Magic Eden emphasized that TestME is strictly for technical testing purposes and carries no intrinsic value, explicitly warning users against speculative trading. The initiative aims to familiarize users with the token claiming process while providing the platform with a technical validation opportunity. Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu revealed that the正式 ME token will serve as an incentive layer, helping users onboard, participate in platform development, and earn rewards. The token will particularly prioritize long-term active users, although the exact release date has not yet been determined.
