TechFlow news, October 27 — Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino announced on the X platform that the Tether Local AI Development Kit was unveiled for the first time yesterday at the Lugano Plan ₿ conference. The kit features a peer-to-peer (P2P) technical architecture with privacy protection as its core design principle.
The development kit boasts significant cross-platform compatibility, supporting a wide range of hardware environments—from entry-level smartphones priced at $40 to high-end flagship devices, personal laptops to large servers equipped with NVIDIA H100 chips, and even smart home appliances to in-vehicle entertainment systems.
On the technical side, the Tether AI SDK adopts a highly modular design, compatible with mainstream AI models such as Marian and Llama, and leverages P2P data structures to load and store model weights and fine-tuning data. Ardoino stated that the kit will be open-sourced after practical application scenarios have been validated.
