TechFlow reported on October 26 that, according to Cointelegraph, a fake application impersonating the DeFi platform Curve Finance has raised concerns after entering the top 100 financial apps on Apple's App Store on October 26.
Despite being flagged as a scam by multiple users, the app remains popular across regions including Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, the United States, and Southeast Asia, putting unsuspecting users at risk.
The fraudulent app, named "Curve defi v3" and developed by "Tao Duong Van," misleads users by mimicking the legitimate Curve Finance logo and features. Nearly all reviewers have given it one-star ratings, explicitly labeling it as a "scam" or "hack" in written comments.
As of now, Curve Finance has not issued any public statement or warning regarding this incident.
