TechFlow News, on October 25, the Wen Shui County Public Security Bureau in Lüliang City, Shanxi Province successfully cracked a new type of cryptocurrency-related fraud case. According to the "Ping'an Lüliang" official account, this "investment finance +上门 cash exchange for USDT" scam involved as much as 200,000 RMB.
In the case, the suspect established trust with the victim using the "pig-butchering" scam method, then arranged for a courier to collect cash at the victim's home under the pretense of helping find a USDT exchange dealer for an "in-person exchange." After receiving the cash, the suspect immediately disappeared.
Upon receiving the report, the Wen Shui County Anti-Fraud Center swiftly launched an investigation. By analyzing and collecting evidence from the involved financial trail, police identified Chen Mou from Jiaozuo City, Henan Province as the suspect. On October 22, investigators arrested Chen in Jiaozuo City.
It was found that Chen had driven from Jiaozuo, Henan to Wen Shui County, met with victim Chang Mou, successfully obtained 200,000 RMB in cash, and then handed the funds over to his superior. Chen has since been lawfully subjected to criminal compulsory measures, and the case is under further investigation.
