TechFlow news, October 25 — According to The Block, crypto market maker GSR has announced the departure of two executives. Rich Rosenblum, co-founder and co-CEO, along with Chief Technology Officer John MacDonald, will be leaving the company. This marks GSR’s second major executive reshuffle this year.
GSR stated on social media platform X that Rosenblum is departing to "pursue new entrepreneurial opportunities," and the firm will continue to stay in touch with him. Rosenblum co-founded GSR with Cristian Gil in 2013. Gil currently serves as the company's chairman.
John MacDonald joined GSR in January 2022, prior to which he served as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer for Europe at capital markets firm Citadel Securities.
GSR previously conducted an executive restructuring on June 26 this year, when then-CEO Jakob Palmstierna transitioned to president, while Rosenblum and Xin Song were appointed as co-CEOs.
