TechFlow reported on October 23 that, according to official news, a16z has announced it led the Series C funding round for Infinitus, an AI platform specializing in automating healthcare calls and data collection, and has joined its board of directors. The specific investment amount was not disclosed. a16z stated that Infinitus' AI platform, purpose-built for automating healthcare telephony and data gathering, will accelerate patient access to care while reducing costly staff turnover and improving data quality. Infinitus' AI agents act on behalf of healthcare providers to handle end-to-end phone calls, fully automating tasks such as benefit verification calls lasting up to an hour, as well as updating patient records in real time.
