TechFlow news, October 23 — According to CoinDesk, Japanese-listed company Metaplanet (ticker: 3350) has completed its 11th round of stock acquisition rights issuance, raising a total of 10 billion JPY (approximately $66 million). Metaplanet announced the stock acquisition rights plan on August 6, when its share price was around 700 JPY. Shareholders were able to purchase new shares at a discounted price of 555 JPY. Of the 18.1 million stock acquisition rights issued in this round, 72.8% were exercised, resulting in the issuance of 13.2 million new shares and raising 73.2 billion JPY (approximately $48.5 million).
The unexercised 1.7 million acquisition rights were transferred free of charge to MMXX Ventures Limited, its CEO Simon Gerovich, and EVO Fund. Among them, EVO Fund received 4.9 million rights; upon exercise, it will obtain a 14.9% equity stake, corresponding to a funding amount of 5.7 billion JPY (approximately $378 million USD).
