TechFlow news, October 22 — According to CNBC, the latest poll from the CNBC Generation Lab shows Vice President Kamala Harris leading Republican candidate Donald Trump by 20 percentage points among American voters aged 18 to 34.
The survey indicates that in a head-to-head matchup, 60% of respondents said they would vote for Harris, compared to 40% for Trump. This level of support mirrors Biden's advantage among young voters in 2020. However, the poll also reveals limited enthusiasm among younger voters: when asked "How do you feel about the presidential candidates?", 38% of respondents described themselves as "disappointed," 41% as "neutral," and only 20% as "excited."
On key issues, young Americans ranked job creation and the economy (53%), taxes (39%), and trust in government (33%) as the top three most important concerns. Other notable issues include immigration (27%), environment (26%), and student debt (25%).
