TechFlow news, on October 21, according to The Block, cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask has announced an integration partnership with digital identity platform Space ID, aiming to simplify the process of sending digital assets and accessing crypto wallets. According to the announcement, the new integration will allow users to "replace all public wallet addresses with a single, secure, and customizable handle when transacting on MetaMask." This means Space ID users can send cryptocurrency by simply entering a username instead of using a 42-character combination of letters and numbers, avoiding the risk of completely losing funds due to minor errors.
Space ID is a Web3 domain and identity platform that enables users to manage their digital assets through a single interface. The company secured a seed round in 2022 led by Binance Labs. Christian Montoya, Head of Product at MetaMask, said the integration with Space ID should "make it easier and safer for MetaMask users to send and receive cryptocurrency on any EVM-compatible chain." Earlier this year, Consensys, the developer behind MetaMask, acquired crypto security application Wallet Guard in an effort to enhance the security of non-custodial wallets.
