The SEC submitted its civil notice of appeal on October 2, but it was not officially docketed until October 4. According to regulations, the SEC must file supporting briefs within 14 days of docketing. Therefore, the actual deadline is 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 18 (expected to be October 19 in Beijing time).
