TechFlow news, October 17 — According to CryptoSlate, Ripple announced a partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), committing $1 million to explore how its upcoming RLUSD stablecoin and cross-border payment solutions can improve the efficiency of cash assistance and fund transfers in crisis-affected regions.
Eric Van Miltenburg, Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Ripple, said the collaboration marks a significant step for the company in leveraging blockchain technology for global humanitarian efforts. Ripple plans to focus on researching how its global payment network and the open-source XRP Ledger (XRPL) solutions can support cash assistance programs and cross-border remittances to aid populations affected by crises.
