TechFlow news, October 11 — According to Crowdfundinsider, UK-based digital bank Revolut announced it has submitted an application for a banking license to regulators in Colombia. This move marks a significant step in the fintech company's efforts to strengthen its presence in Latin America. Revolut previously entered the Brazilian market last year and successfully obtained a banking license in Mexico in April this year.
Over the past decade, Latin America has emerged as one of the fastest-growing technology and fintech hubs globally. The region boasts a diverse base of retail and institutional investors actively seeking portfolio growth. Countries like Brazil have also fostered innovative cryptocurrency-related services, with firms such as Bitso offering a wide range of products and services across the region.
