TechFlow news, October 10 — According to reports by China Economic Daily, HBO recently released its latest documentary "Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery," in which director Cullen Hoback identifies Canadian software developer and cryptocurrency expert Peter Todd as Satoshi Nakamoto. In response, Peter Todd firmly denied being Satoshi Nakamoto, stating that Hoback's claim is merely a tactic to attract attention for his Bitcoin documentary.
"During the filmmaking process, Cullen interviewed me four or five times over many hours. Up until the final interview, he gave no impression whatsoever that he was searching for Satoshi Nakamoto. He simply introduced himself as making a documentary about Bitcoin itself," Peter Todd further explained.
In addition, Peter Todd emphasized concerns for his personal safety, saying, "Being falsely accused of possessing billions of dollars puts me at risk." He also noted that he has not yet decided whether to pursue legal action to protect his interests.
