TechFlow reports, according to Lookonchain, the U.S. government appears free to sell the 69,370 bitcoins seized from Silk Road, after the U.S. Supreme Court on October 7 declined to review Battle Born Investments' case over ownership of the 69,370 BTC (worth approximately $4.33 billion) confiscated from Silk Road, thereby granting the government full control over the seized funds.
The last time the U.S. government moved BTC was two months ago, when it transferred 29,800 BTC (worth approximately $2.02 billion), including 10,000 BTC (worth approximately $594 million) sent to Coinbase Prime.
The U.S. government currently still holds 203,239 BTC (worth approximately $12.63 billion), among which the 69,370 BTC (worth approximately $4.33 billion) linked to Silk Road has remained dormant for four years in wallet "bc1qa5".
