TechFlow News, September 27 — According to Cryptoslate, Morocco announced the launch of its "Digital Morocco 2030" strategy, allocating a budget of $1.1 billion to transform the country into a global digital hub through artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology. The strategy aims to create 240,000 new jobs in the digital sector by 2030, increase digital export revenue to 40 billion dirhams (approximately $4.15 billion), and boost the overall contribution of the digital economy to 100 billion dirhams (around $10.36 billion).
The Moroccan government will use blockchain technology to build a unified administrative services portal for managing healthcare, education, and social security services, while leveraging AI systems to analyze and process data in real time, improving service quality. The country also plans to expand 5G coverage to 70% of its territory, establish 3,000 startups, and attract global AI and blockchain companies to set up operations in Morocco, contributing to its growing tech ecosystem.
