TechFlow news — On September 24, Elon Musk confirmed major upcoming changes to the blocking feature on the X platform. Initially disclosed by Nima Owji, Musk responded: "The (new) block function will prevent the account from participating in public posts, but won't stop them from viewing public posts." He emphasized that this change was "long overdue."
Currently, X's blocking feature completely prevents blocked users from viewing any posts made by the user who blocked them. Under the new rules, blocked users will be able to see public posts, but will not be able to interact with them—such as liking, reposting, or commenting.
