TechFlow reports on September 22 that Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, posted on social media urging the cryptocurrency industry to reevaluate the contributions of Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), stating that CZ's achievements far outweigh his mistakes.
Ki Young Ju pointed out that emerging industries often face challenges where intrinsic value does not align with absorbed capital, leading to societal criticism of industry leaders. He believes that as a nascent sector, the crypto industry has inevitably gone through such growing pains. Regarding CZ's four-month detention period ending on September 29, Ki Young Ju stated that this punishment reflects not only accountability for individual actions but also symbolizes broader growing pains within the industry's development. He emphasized that Binance has played a crucial role in attracting global liquidity and has made significant contributions to the advancement of the cryptocurrency industry. Given that CZ has already paid relevant fines and his detention is nearing completion, Ki Young Ju suggests the industry should reassess CZ's contributions from a more objective and forward-looking perspective.
Previous report: Binance founder Changpeng Zhao is expected to be released on September 29 and is currently undergoing evaluation by the Residential Reintegration Services.
