TechFlow News, September 21 — Pyth announced the launch of Oracle Integrity Staking (OIS), an upgraded version of its oracle security mechanism designed to enhance the reliability of data sources and strengthen the security of the DeFi ecosystem.
OIS introduces on-chain staking rewards and slashing mechanisms to incentivize publishers and PYTH holders to participate in staking and safeguard the oracle network. Publishers are rewarded for providing high-quality data and penalized if their data is inaccurate.
In addition, PYTH holders can stake and delegate their tokens to publishers to boost their earnings. The Pyth DAO will oversee key updates and parameters of OIS.
