TechFlow reported on September 19 that users of the cryptocurrency trading bot Banana Gun reported stolen wallet funds. The project team has shut down the Telegram bot and launched an investigation. Community member yannickcrypto.eth posted on X: "There are currently 36 victims on the mainnet, with approximately 563 ETH (worth $1.4 million) stolen. I don't believe Banana Gun itself was hacked—the number of victims isn't high enough to support that claim."
Previous report: Banana Gun wallets were suspected of a security breach, causing BANANA to drop 8.70% briefly. The official Banana Gun Telegram channel posted a pinned message stating: "We are investigating this issue; the bot is currently offline."
