TechFlow reports, on September 18, Celestia announced on social media that the Lemongrass upgrade has gone live. As Celestia's first mainnet upgrade, Lemongrass introduces seamless interactions via IBC and interchain accounts.
Previous report, Celestia announced an upcoming major upgrade named Lemongrass. Key changes in this upgrade include:
- CIP-6 implements a minimum gas price to reduce spam transactions on the network;
- CIP-9 introduces packet forwarding middleware to improve IBC cross-chain transfer efficiency;
- CIP-10 establishes a new network upgrade signaling mechanism to simplify and accelerate future upgrades;
- CIP-14 introduces interchain accounts to enhance interoperability with the Cosmos ecosystem;
- CIP-20 deprecates the Blobstream module, simplifying the network architecture and improving performance.
