TechFlow reports that on September 18, Web3 cybersecurity firm GoPlus issued a security alert revealing a new scam targeting Telegram users. Impersonating the official Fragment mini-app, fraudsters send private messages offering high-price purchases to anonymous account holders. Once users click the mini-app link provided by scammers, they may unknowingly authorize access to their accounts, resulting in stolen wallet assets. GoPlus noted that since the fake bots are nearly identical to the official mini-app in name and profile picture, it is extremely difficult for users to distinguish between genuine and fraudulent ones. Security experts advise users to verify through official websites, official Twitter accounts, or trusted third-party platforms to ensure transaction safety.
