TechFlow reports that the Decentralized AI Alliance (DAIS), founded by eight member organizations, has officially launched to address the risk of tech giants monopolizing the AI industry. The eight founding members of DAIS are CETI AI, Filecoin Foundation, Bloq, Hypercycle, Morpheus, Hemi, Odyssey, and Lumerin.
Michael Casey, chairman of DAIS and former Chief Content Officer at CoinDesk and chair of Consensus conference, said during the Token2049 blockchain conference in Singapore that the decentralized AI community recognizes centralized platforms have already gained a massive first-mover advantage in the AI era—controlling data, computing power, and even influencing regulatory bodies.
The alliance plans to tackle these challenges through four key initiatives: attracting capital into decentralized AI, participating in shaping AI regulatory policies, promoting education around decentralized AI, and developing new algorithms for distributed learning models.
