TechFlow news: Binance has announced the discovery of a global malicious software called Clipper, which alters withdrawal addresses during transactions, primarily targeting cryptocurrency wallet addresses.
When users copy and paste wallet addresses to transfer cryptocurrencies, the malware replaces the original address with one designated by the attacker. If users complete the transfer without noticing the change, their funds are sent to the attacker's wallet, resulting in financial loss.
Users are advised to exercise caution when installing plugins and applications, especially on Android and web applications, and to remain vigilant even on iOS.
Binance's security team is actively addressing this issue and working to blacklist suspicious addresses.
