TechFlow news: Centralized cryptocurrency exchange CEX.IO has officially resumed operations in the UK. The company stated that its registration process now meets the compliance requirements of the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
CEX.IO had previously voluntarily suspended its services in the UK following new crypto asset financial promotion rules implemented by the FCA in October 2023. The UK was one of CEX.IO's key markets, accounting for 69% of its European Economic Area customer base prior to the suspension, with transaction volumes increasing 26.9% month-on-month.
The company currently offers 190 digital assets in the UK.
