TechFlow reports that a16z Crypto has today announced the 21 companies selected for its 2024 Fall Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX) program. Spanning various layers of the crypto technology stack, the cohort includes startups focused on AI, DeFi, infrastructure, and consumer applications such as photo sharing and mapping. The 21 selected companies are:
- Anera Labs: Building infrastructure to unify liquidity across all blockchains;
- Banyan: Using AI to bridge communication gaps at work and bring clarity to enterprises;
- Blocksense: Enabling the creation of oracles that leverage internet data and CPU/GPU computing;
- Cork Protocol: A risk pricing protocol accelerating on-chain credit;
- Dot: Transforming user-created pixel art into in-game elements on blockchain;
- Fermah: Building a universal zero-knowledge proof generation layer;
- Future Primitive: Creating a new home for internet photography enthusiasts;
- Kuzco: An LLM inference marketplace;
- MeshMap: Building a global 3D map and AR content network;
- Opacity Labs: Privately verifying Web2 data via zkTLS;
- OpenGradient: Building a blockchain designed to bring the world's computation on-chain;
- PIN AI: Building an open personal AI platform (data + agents);
- Pod: A new L1 primitive—blockless and leaderless—that relaxes the concept of total transaction ordering;
- Sekai: Enabling easy creation, sharing, and monetization of interactive narratives;
- Skyfire: An open payment protocol enabling AI agents to pay for anything;
- Suave: Allowing DApps to accept any token from any wallet on any blockchain;
- t1: Real-time proof generation to unify Ethereum;
- TACEO: MPC-based encrypted computing for Web3;
- Term Labs: A DeFi lending platform matching fixed-rate borrowers and lenders;
- vlayer labs: Zero-knowledge-proof-powered trusted and verifiable data infrastructure;
- zkSpin: Building a highly parallel blockchain to run demanding DApps on-chain;
a16z CSX will invest at least $500,000 in each selected company. The program will run for eight weeks in New York City, during which participating teams will gain firsthand insights from top crypto founders, receive mentorship and support from the a16z crypto investment and operations teams, and build connections with peer companies and the broader a16z network.
