TechFlow reported, according to CoinDesk, that former Mt.Gox CEO Mark Karpeles said in an interview during Korea Blockchain Week that the current industry faces excessive centralization risks and too many scam projects. "There are so many such projects—I have to use the word 'bad' in a very broad sense, because either they're scams or they don't bring anything particularly innovative."
In addition, Karpeles promoted Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet technology, stating that if HD technology had been available during the Mt.Gox era, the tragedy could have been avoided. HD wallets securely manage and generate multiple public and private key pairs derived from a single master seed.
