TechFlow reports that Ethereum developers held the 141st All Core Developers Consensus (ACDC) meeting on September 5, 2024, discussing key topics related to the Pectra upgrade and PeerDAS implementation. The meeting confirmed that debugging for Pectra Devnet 2 is nearing completion, and Devnet 3 can be launched once certain clients are ready.
Developers agreed to proceed with multiple consensus layer specification updates, including fixes for EIP-7251, optimizations to beacon block bodies, and improvements to validator withdrawal requests.
Regarding PeerDAS, developers are locally testing the latest implementation and discussing solutions for proof computation challenges faced by resource-constrained node operators.
The meeting also explored a proposal to remove SSZ unions from the consensus layer specifications, along with its potential impact on the Portal Network.
