TechFlow news: 88 current and former U.S. corporate executives have voiced support for Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential campaign in an open letter exclusively provided to CNBC. Signatories include well-known CEOs of publicly traded companies such as Aaron Levie of Box, Jeremy Stoppelman of Yelp, and Michael Lynton, chairman of Snap, Inc. Notably, James Murdoch, former CEO of 21st Century Fox, and Chris Larsen, co-founder of the Ripple blockchain platform, are voicing public support for Harris for the first time.
The signatories also include Wall Street elites, prominent figures from Silicon Valley, and several former CEOs of major public companies. Supporters state that electing Harris as president is "the best way to support a strong, secure, and reliable democracy and economy."
The letter comes as Harris engages in a heated presidential race against Trump, with the first presidential debate scheduled to take place in four days. Recently, Harris has proposed economic initiatives supporting small businesses, including increasing tax deductions for startup expenses tenfold to $50,000, and raising the top capital gains tax rate to 28% for individuals earning over $1 million annually.
