TechFlow news, on September 6, according to Decrypt, Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov responded to his arrest in France by pledging to "significantly improve" the platform's oversight of criminal activities. In response to allegations that Telegram is rife with criminal activity, Durov pushed back: "Claims by some media that Telegram is some kind of anarchist paradise are completely false. We delete millions of harmful posts and channels every day." However, he acknowledged the platform faces significant challenges: "Telegram’s user base has rapidly grown to 950 million, causing growing pains that make it easier for criminals to abuse our platform. Therefore, I have made significantly improving this situation a personal goal."
